Our Candidates

to Help Move Canada Forward

Meet Our Leader

Jack Henry

Jack Henry is a Canadian entrepreneur, designer, and community advocate with a reputation for practical, grounded leadership. As the founding leader of the Modern Commons Party of Canada, Jack brings a clear voice to national politics—one that champions fiscal responsibility, local empowerment, and real-world solutions over ideology.

With over a decade of experience running a small design firm, Jack has worked closely with small businesses, non-profits, and community organizations across Canada. He understands the pressures facing entrepreneurs, the barriers to affordable housing, and the need for governments to get the fundamentals right—from reliable infrastructure to responsive services.

Jack founded the Modern Commons Party after years of watching major political parties drift toward extremes. He saw everyday Canadians being left behind—taxed more, heard less, and asked to choose between reckless spending and austerity. Modern Commons offers an alternative: a party focused on balance, dignity, and results.

Born and raised in Ontario, Jack’s leadership is shaped by a deep respect for hard work and personal responsibility, alongside the belief that everyone deserves a hand up when life gets tough. He understands that a strong economy and a compassionate society go hand in hand—and that good government should empower people without getting in their way.

Jack is proud to lead a new political movement built from the ground up—by Canadians, for Canadians.

Want to Shape Canada's Future?

The Modern Commons Party is looking for passionate, community-driven individuals to stand as candidates in the next federal election.

We believe the best leaders are rooted in their communities, committed to practical solutions, and driven by integrity—not ideology. We are building a new kind of politics: one where elected officials are free to represent their constituents first, not party lines.

We’re looking for candidates who:

  • Believe in fairness, community, and forward-thinking solutions.

  • Want to bridge divides, not deepen them.

  • Are connected to the needs and hopes of their local community.

  • Bring diverse life experiences — whether in business, education, healthcare, advocacy, trades, public service, or beyond.

  • Are ready to roll up their sleeves and work for real, practical change.

No political experience required.

We welcome Canadians from all backgrounds — especially those who feel politics today has left their communities behind. If you’re passionate about housing affordability, climate resilience, healthcare access, economic opportunity, and strengthening democracy, Modern Commons could be your political home.

Together, let’s build a Canada that moves forward — grounded in common sense, compassion, and community.
